We’re kicking off our winter field trip season with a visit to the Cave Creek Museum on Thursday, January 30, and Arizona homeschool and roadschool families are invited to join us.
This relaxed, family-friendly field trip is a great fit for Arizona homeschoolers, roadschoolers, and RV families looking to explore local history through hands-on learning.
The Cave Creek Museum offers an engaging look at Arizona’s early history, including:
- Native cultures of the Southwest
- Early settlers, ranching, and mining life
- Desert survival and adaptation
- Arizona’s journey toward statehood
Families can explore exhibits at their own pace, making this a flexible and low-pressure outing for children of various ages.

- Date: Thursday, January 30
- Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
(Arrival window between 12:45–1:00 PM) - Location: Cave Creek, Arizona
- Recommended Ages: 6–14 (siblings welcome with parent supervision)
This is a pay-your-own-way field trip. Kids are free, but adults are currently about $8.00/each (not counting military or senior discounts).
